The person will be expected to: New deal analysis and supporting justification; Prepare credit approval documents; Support Credit Officer and Underwriter on DSM & Term Sheets; CAM preparation and collateral analysis; Data input and capture for new originations.

Role Qualifications: Zero to two+ years experience within financial institution; Knowledge of the primary functions of the Commercial Real Estate Banking teams at Bank of America; Familiarity with core banking products; Understanding of the regulations and BA Policy that govern CRE lending; Adept at gathering and analyzing market and portfolio information; Strong writing skills; Maintains knowledge of other BofAML products including Investment Banking, Interest Rate Hedging, and Treasury Management that have credit exposure

Role Overview:

CREB Underwriter is responsible for performing deal analysis, preparation of supporting justification, and processing credit approvals. The CREB Underwriter has understanding of key credit policies and regulations for applicability/impact to a credit transaction. The CREB Underwriter is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Credit Team (CRE Credit Team), a unit within CREB, that underwrites and monitors CRE-D loans for Middle Market Banking and Business Banking clients. The CREB Underwriter will support the Credit Officer and assist and advise the CRE Credit Team portfolio group with any post-closing credit actions as needed. Successful candidates will possess functional knowledge and will have demonstrated strong performance with a focus on collaboration, driving operational excellence and the ability to influence leaders, peers and clients

Functional Role Description:

  • New deal analysis and supporting justification
  • Prepare approval documents and collateral analysis
  • Support Credit Officer on screening memos and term sheets.
  • Data capture for new originations
  • Activities associated with renewal, modification and extension of existing facilities where terms are being changed (i.e. extensions beyond final maturity, commitment increases, material covenant changes), including risk rating scorecard preparation

Role Qualifications:

  • Two years’ experience within financial institution;
  • Knowledge of the primary functions of Commercial Real Estate Banking teams;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Strong written and communication skills;
  • Proficient with technology and ability to learn new applications;
  • Ability to prioritize, self-motivated, detail-oriented, etc.;
  • Fluency in reading financial
