The Real Estate (“RE”) Finance group is responsible for the preparation of performance and attribution reporting of BREP results for internal and external purposes. The group mainly provides support to business management and deal professionals while addressing a variety of investor relations, management reporting, and global investor relations strategies. The analyst would be responsible for supporting technology initiatives, performing analyses, and financial reporting for Real Estate (“RE”). Please refer to details below.

  • Re-Engineering Advancements: Partner with BXTI in strategic business initiatives and automation projects to enhance and streamline reporting processes on a global scale (includes London and Singapore). Role involves UAT activities (test, document and support), data migration (plan, execute, and validate), and data governance. Areas of focus include:
    • Valuation Reporting: Assist finance, asset management and portfolio management teams domiciled across the globe to prepare quarterly valuation materials presented to senior management and the committee.
    • Internal and External Reporting: Work collaboratively with investor relations and portfolio management to support the automation of quarterly and ad-hoc investor reporting.
    • Forecasting: Systematize the forecasting of future realizations across +350 investments.
    • Special Projects: Participate in and support projects as the business continues to evolve and grow.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Math, Accounting or Economics with strong academic record
  • 2+ years of related experience (private equity and consulting a plus)
  • Ability to partner across teams, summarize issues, develop recommendations, and make decisions
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word); The candidate is expected to have experience building and working with large data validation files (Pivots, V-Lookups)
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and detail-oriented, multitask and deliver under tight deadlines; the candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic that thrives on complexity and solution finding
  • Real estate finance / valuation / waterfall calculation / project management experience a plus
  • Committed to continuous process improvement
