Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is seeking a qualified candidate to performs Real Estate related activities for the organization including, assisting with property acquisition, preparing escrow documents, assisting families in securing real estate loans, facilitating the transfer of title of completed homes, performing various departmental administrative tasks.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles has been an active affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International for more than 20 years. By providing affordable housing, home repairs, skilled construction training, financial education, and volunteer opportunities the organization has transformed millions of lives, helped stabilize communities and fostered economic vitality in the region. On average, the affiliate builds and renovates 100 homes in the Los Angeles region, ranking it among the largest affiliates nationwide.
While this position normally is based at Bellflower, this position is eligible for remote flexible work arrangements at this time. Please note that this remote work arrangement is temporary and is subject to change by the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with Real Estate, Mortgage, Escrow and Title companies.
Setup, maintain real estate transaction files from opening to close of escrow.
Prepare documents required for closings and handling the follow-up of all transactions.
Coordinate the execution of real estate documents with buyers.
Coordinate tax assessments with the county.
Prepare and research for pay-off demands and reconveyances.
Maintain reports for real estate department.
Perform various Real Estate tasks.
Assist in scheduling Appraisals, Inspections, Walk-through and other appointments for buyers.

Requirements:
Basic knowledge of real estate and/or mortgage lending, including escrow or title experience
Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written skills
Experience with affordable housing a plus
Motivated to serve people and provide excellent customer service
Minimum of one (1) year experience working in a similar field • Notary certification (not required but preferred)

This is full-time position. Position requires local travel in the normal course of performing job duties with mileage reimbursement. Must have access to reliable transportation to perform job duties, valid driver’s license and meet the state required amount of personal automobile liability insurance.
