Job Description Summary
A brilliant opportunity to join the market leading Mortgage and Protection business and become a home buying expert, supporting customers as a Mortgage and Protection Advisor.

A certified adviser who uses specialist Mortgage and regulatory knowledge to help new and existing customers with their Mortgage and Protection requirements. Delivers an excellent customer experience, expert advice and ensures all regulatory and service standards are followed and compliantly fulfils/deals with their needs as appropriate. Ensures customers are dealt with professionally, refereed to the right person or channel where appropriate and identifies and supports customers in vulnerable circumstances. Acts in line with the Group values and codes of responsibility and supports LBG priorities.

For Candidates external to LBG - CeMAP (Certification in Mortgage Advice and Practice) to Level 3 is a mandatory requirement before applying for the role

Ways of Working
Our Mortgage and Protection Advisers work in a variety of ways to help us be there for customers when they need us. This could mean you may be based in multiple locations such as branches, site and your home, whilst interacting with customers how they are most comfortable, be this in person, over the phone or on a video call.
Shift patterns for these roles will be discussed during the recruitment process, we value your flexibility and will do our best to facilitate working hours that are suitable to you, whilst meeting the needs of our customers. This will include some evening and weekend working.

This role is considered Certified under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime as either requiring mandatory qualifications or being deemed as a role capable of providing ‘significant harm’ to customers. Due to this, successful candidates will be subject to enhanced levels of vetting, and required to complete a fitness and propriety attestation on commencement in role. Colleagues performing this role will be required to be complete a fitness and propriety attestation on an annual basis and will also be subject to additional routine criminal and credit checks.

This role has been identified as a Functions requiring qualifications under SYSC 27.8.10R as defined in the FCA Handbook.

(2) A person performs the FCA certification function in this rule even if:
(a) the time period within which the person must have obtained the qualification requirement has not yet expired; or
(b) the person is exempt from the qualification requirement.
