Role Purpose:



The position is mainly responsible to effectively Administer the day to day operations of the Centre in terms of Centre Presentation, Security, Safety, Cleaning, Engineering, Facilities and Ambience and ensure that all are kept up to the highest quality standards in order to meet all tenant and customer requirements.



Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:



  • Administer the day to day operations of the Centre in terms of Centre Presentation, Security, Safety, Cleaning, Engineering, Facilities and Ambience and ensure that all are kept up to the highest quality standards in order to meet all tenant and customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and conduct tenant orientation meetings for the entire Mall, covering emergency procedures, communication systems and other security procedures relating to the tenants of the Mall.
  • Maintain relations with relevant authorities (Local Emergency services including Police, Civil Defence and Fire & Para Medic Services) to receive the right support on a continuous basis.
  • Identify & inform Management of any Health & Safety risk related to the Mall building that may affect employees, contractors & the general public.
  • Complete a daily report of vehicular traffic and other issues & provide a summary on a weekly basis to the Management of the mall.
  • Provide inputs to the assigned Mall Management in the preparation and control of CAPEX/Operating budget estimated at for the year.
  • Review the Capital expenditure budget monthly of planned phasing and priority based effective utilization and to maintain timeline.
  • Explore, create and suggest to the Mall Management additional unutilized areas within the mall which can be converted in a revenue generating area.
  • Manage the rent and sales collection from all assigned mall tenants.
  • Meet with key stakeholders and team members on as needs basis.
  • Administer cleaning contract, including scheduling of cleaning staff, implementing cost cutting program and improving cleaning efficiencies.
  • Enforce and ensure that rules and regulations are adhered by all the tenants with particular focus on operating hours, delivery schedule, waste removal, promotional signs and other related issues.
  • Ensure that the sustainability targets including the waste management in the assigned mall(s) are achieved.
  • Provide all necessary data / reports concerning to Mall Operations to Mall Management for their review as and when requested.
  • Ensure full compliance with SMBU policy procedure, system and guidelines (e.g. Health and safety, fire, crises management, Tenant portal, IRO, POS link etc.) Promote and undertake sustainability initiatives in coordination with the relevant department.
  • Ensure compliance with the MAFP SMBU’s Code of Conduct, Departmental policies and HC Policies and Procedures at all times.
  • Be the advocate and ambassador of aligning and cascading the MAFP values across SMBU and ensure that relevant team adhered to and exhibit the same all the time.
  • Build the capability of staff reporting into by providing on time regular feedback including annual review on performance and identify areas of improvement / reinforcement for further development.
  • Manage, guide and mentor the Mall Operations team reporting into and take full responsibility in identifying potential talent and timely supporting professional development.

Personal Characteristics and Required Background:



Minimum Qualifications/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g. Civil) or equivalent.

Minimum Experience

  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of work experience in managing Mall Operations / maintenance, Safety & Security, and Facilities management preferably in a reputed large shopping malls / Real Estate companies in GCC or abroad in a similar role.

Only UAE Nationals (with Family Book) who are currently residing or willing to relocate to Fujairah will be considered for this role..
