This new hire will work at our Global HQ, located at 24 Schilling Road in Hunt Valley, MD . The Global Purchasing Manager - Real Estate & Capital Expenditures will report to a Global Category Manager.

The Global Purchasing Manager - Real Estate & Capital Expenditures responsible for Real Estate and Capital categories and the development of strategies and programs to optimize cost, rationalize the supply base and bring value to McCormick & Company while mitigating risk. The duties include supporting Indirect spend and participation in the development of goals and Procurement planning activities.

Manages all sourcing/procurement activities for Real Estate and Capital categories globally as appropriate.
Leads the negotiations of procured materials and services to assure optimal TCO (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Innovation) achieved.
Develops and implements strategies to assure lowest overall cost while mitigating risk to the Corporation.
Promotes high level of customer satisfaction in supporting the needs of Divisional projects & requirements for Procurement guidance & leadership.
Leads change and challenges the status quo to drive process effectiveness
Ensures Procurement capabilities in the real estate and capital areas are in place to support building McCormick infrastructure of the future

Bachelor’s Degree In Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
8+ years in Purchasing/Supply Chain environment with appropriate business experience
5+ years project management, execution of or participation in large, multiple or cross-functional projects.
Proven experience and success in leading major cost savings initiatives and cross functional teams within a CPG organization.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to analyze factual and qualitative information in complicated or novel situations
Ability to influence and interact with all levels of the organization
Sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in 2 or more of the following areas: Capital Equipment, Energy, MRO, and Real Estate

CPM or APICS Certification
