We are committed to maintaining an inclusive and collaborative environment where you can be who you are and valued for your unique talents and perspectives. Rayonier is big enough to offer you professional growth and development opportunities, yet small enough for you to know every coworker by name. Come join a team that empowers you to make a difference!

SCOPE OF ROLE:

This role requires a passion for conserving appropriate lands for future water quality, wildlife, and green space while maximizing values. These decisions will positively impact future generations. The position will also target higher and better use properties for our rural land sales program in the Pacific Northwest. These properties will provide our neighbors, friends and community with future recreational, farming, conservation, investment, and residential opportunities. The majority of your time will consist of communicating with neighbors, contractors, brokers, internal teams, and key conservation organizations. The internal exposure to teams consists of forestry, research, accountants, analysts, attorneys, senior leadership teams as well as presenting key opportunities to the CEO. You will tour various properties to determine their conservation or HBU opportunities. The land you identify will highly impact the Company’s key goals and objectives for the year as well as future long range planning.

Through this experience you will gain exposure to many different aspects of real estate and forestry and have access to the tools, support and development you desire to continue to build upon your knowledge and expertise and advance your career, including mentoring, rotational roles, training opportunities, development exposures and more.

HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED:

  • Build meaningful relationships and partnerships with conservation organizations, contractors, brokers, neighboring landowners, our communities
  • Make safety a way of life and commit to “standing in the gap” and fixing it when you see a potential safety risk
  • Build a pipeline of conservation opportunities through innovation and collaboration with conservation partners, organizationally-wide forest resources teams, and conservation-focused brokers
  • Take ownership of the land you identify and the information you gather with a focus to maximize value and identify opportunities for improvements
  • Collaborate with others and share your viewpoints, ideas and findings to create better outcomes for Rayonier, our customers and communities
  • Understand your responsibility for environmental stewardship and take careful measures to ensure the long-term sustainability of our forest ecosystems, as well as the wildlife, soils, and water within them
  • Commit to continuous learning, finding new and more innovative ways of doing things and staying current on conservation funding opportunities, state real estate practices and broker rules, and company processes

WHAT IS REQUIRED:

  • BS degree in Real Estate, Land Use Planning, Business Administration, Natural Resources, Forestry or other related discipline
  • Real estate markets, basic understanding of finance, accounting and real estate contract law, working knowledge of conservation transactions, land valuation techniques, negotiation and transaction management

Rayonier is committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment that is drug-free, promotes diversity, and is free of discrimination.
