Our Real Estate Audit practice is seeking an Audit Manager to join our team. As an Audit Manager in this practice, we will provide you the opportunity to provide a range of assurance services and business advice to large Real Estate clients and help solve complex accounting business issues that impact our clients’ financial situation.
Professional Responsibilities:
  • Review audit engagements for various Real Estate clients
  • Identify key audit risk areas and design the overall audit approach
  • Supervise audit engagements and keep partner informed of engagement status
  • Research technical guidance and provide potential conclusions to Partners and Quality Control
  • Proactively interact with, and update, clients, and Partner to ensure timely issuance of financial statements
  • Coordinate with Tax Department to ensure timely identification of potential reporting issues and ensure timely filing of tax returns
  • Build strong working relationships with clients
  • Manage staff performance, conduct timely performance reviews, and provide performance feedback
  • Contribute to in-house educational initiatives
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree desired
  • CPA required; IFRS experience a plus
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience in a reputable firm with a focus on real estate
  • Proven experience in meeting strict deadlines within budgetary constraints
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a client focus
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills
  • Highly detailed-orientated, organized, and proactive
  • Able to travel to client locations in the New York tri-state region and/or out-of-state
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in ProSystem Engagement is a plus
  • Distinguished management and leadership skills, motivated by challenges
  • Ability to work in a team and play a role in the Firm’s growth
