COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate - Booster Included in MidPen Mandatory Vaccine Policy!

  • All MidPen employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Starting April 1st, 2022, boosters will be required for employment at MidPen. (As a reminder, booster eligibility means that at least 5 months have passed from your 2nd shot of Moderna or Pfizer or 2 months from your Johnson & Johnson shot.)
  • Employees will have 30 days past their eligibility date to get the booster. (By April 1, all employees should have the booster — unless 30 days have not passed since their eligibility date.)
  • Subject to applicable law, all prospective hires will be required to demonstrate they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19; or qualify for an accommodation to this vaccination requirement.
  • Employees with an approved accommodation will be required to test for COVID-19 on a weekly basis.

SUMMARY



This position reports to the Director of Property Operations and has the responsibility of managing a portfolio of multi-family properties, achieving strong fiscal performance, solid regulatory compliance and strong teamwork. Key areas of responsibility are: Fiscal Management, Compliance, Facilities Management, Risk Management, Tenant Management, Employee Management, Community Outreach, as well as Internal and External Partnering.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Collaborates with Asset Management, Property Controller’s, Facilities Management and Human Resources
  • Approves expenses, monitors accounts receivables, individual’s property cash flow and spending according to company policy
  • Develops annual budgets for each property in liaison with Asset Management, Accounting and Community Managers
  • Manages property taxes for each property - timing of reassessments, abatement requests and accuracy, and completion of annual Welfare Exemption documents
  • Monitors property recertification process for completeness, accuracy and timeliness
  • Stays current with compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g. Fair Housing, HUD, TCAC, COS and ensures that property portfolio and staff are in total compliance
  • Ensures completion of annual and interim re-certifications on schedule
  • Remains current on capital project master schedule for property grouping
  • Develops and executes a security plan for each property with each Community Manager - emergency preparedness, safety rules and work principles and authority and accountability
  • Hires, trains and coaches Community Managers to achieve higher performance
  • Performs other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience
  • Tax Credit Specialist and Certified Occupancy Specialist certification is required
  • Must have four (4) or more years of multi-family property management experience and a minimum of two years of affordable housing experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Must have at least four years of supervisory experience
  • Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and property management software such as MRI, Yardi, RealPage or Boston Post
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically
  • Strong employee coaching and mentoring skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents
  • Analyze complex situations while making sound decisions and balancing competing priorities under a tight deadline

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks
  • Frequently sitting
  • Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds
  • Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
