Summary

Lead strategy and execution of company and franchise growth strategies. Identify attractive markets for growth and develop team to execute on both new stores and maintaining existing portfolio. This position is responsible for both the strategic planning and tactical implementation for a range of projects and initiatives, including growth strategy, competitive analysis, market planning and strategic initiatives execution support. This role will lead a team that is responsible for new store pipeline, and existing stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops 1-3-year strategy for new store openings including growth by market, ensuring markets are resourced appropriately, developing process to achieve collaboration & alignment within the business, and held accountable to delivering on growth strategy.
  • Lead work related to Demographics tool to support in site selection
  • Responsible for managing the performance of the team including performance management, Performance evaluations and professional development
  • Lead the real estate team and implementation of the real estate strategy to support MOD's long-range business plan
  • Demonstrate expertise in real estate portfolio management including site selection, construction, budgeting, project, and risk management.
  • Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and other market data to identify key trade areas
  • Perform competitor analysis and site mapping within key trade areas
  • Visit and inspect prospective properties to determine suitability
  • Build and manage the pipeline of potential sites in markets identified for expansion to ensure MOD achieves it growth objectives
  • Creates and develops business and five-year growth plan for markets and able to deliver to plan.
  • Fluent in LOIs, Lease Negotiations, Portfolio Management Negotiations & Development Process.
  • Perform ad-hoc strategic and store analysis in support of executive management
  • Outline, lead, and execute on the development strategy for company growth markets
  • Support franchise partners in selection of franchise-owned sites
  • Support finance department in administration of existing site leases & financial reporting associated with real estate including building proforma, investment thesis and store level P&L discussions
  • Partner with Accounting on all Lease Administration functions
  • Support marketing department in development of new store opening strategies
  • Support design and construction teams in communication with landlords and developers through the development life cycle



Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area of study
  • Experience leading a team
  • 10+years commercial real estate experience with a multi-unit, multi-state fast-casual restaurant chain
  • Exceptional ability to gather, analyze and present complex topics in simple ways
  • Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint, demographic software
  • Ability to travel, including overnight travel, up to 50% or greater
  • A passion for MOD Pizza



Physical Requirements

Travel work involves operating a motor vehicle within a specific region or route. Regularly and safely perform all functions of operating a motor vehicle, including prolonged sitting. Regularly operate a laptop and mobile phone. Communicate and exchange information with co-workers and other individuals in person or electronically. Occasionally positioning oneself (e.g., stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, push, pull) to move or lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
