Mortgage Support Advisor

Bournemouth Admin Centre

Intermediary Relationships is the support function for Intermediaries for both Nationwide and The Mortgage Works. Within this role, you’ll be part of our Dedicated Broker Support teams, providing telephone, webchat and email support to our Intermediaries and Business Development Managers on products, criteria and pre-application queries for both brands.

At Nationwide we openly put our 15 million members at the centre of every decision we make as a business. Every role, no matter what it’s doing, is member focused.

If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.

What you’ll be doing

As a Mortgage Support Advisor, you’ll be delivering excellent customer service by ensuring the needs of our intermediaries are met – and we’ll ensure you have full training to deliver such a legendary service.

No two days are the same and you’ll be the first point of contact for our intermediaries and Business Development Managers. They rely on us to provide accurate and relevant information to answer their queries and get it right first time. Youbuild relationships with our intermediaries and help them place business with the Society, enabling us to consistently exceed expectations. You’ll develop and maintain product, criteria, process and system knowledge. You be committed to a continuous improvement culture and make suggestions to improve our processes on an on-going basis.

It's important to us that we encourage you to develop in your role. And as you broaden your knowledge and skill sets, you should be rewarded. To do this, there are three levels to the role which are;

Entry > Intermediate > Expert.

As you progress through these levels, your pay will increase to reflect your skills. We expect most advisers to reach ‘Expert’ level within 18 months, at which point your salary will be a minimum of £23,500.

About you

As a minimum you’ll have;

  • A natural ability to speak with customers, being confident and enthusiastic in always delivering the best service

  • Experience of handling inbound queries from multiple customers
  • The ability to problem solve and deal with several tasks and processes at any one time

  • Great PC skills and the ability to work across multiple systems
  • An eye for detail and a focus on accuracy
  • A positive attitude to work and be a flexible team player
  • The ability to proactively manage your own time and organise your work effectively

Ideally you may have;

  • Contact Centre experience

We know applying for jobs can sometimes feel like you’re sending an application into a black hole. We review each application individually. So, it’s a good idea to call out your most relevant experience on your application to give yourself the best chance.

We’re also interested in who you are as a person. Why? Because our membership is made up of so many different kinds of people, so we want our employees to be just as diverse. We’d love to hear about:

  • Your values, and what makes you who you are
  • How you’d make a difference to our members in this role
