Under general supervision of the Mortgage Servicing Supervisor, responsible for performing duties that include mortgage loan research, loan corrections, posting of payments, and loan modifications. Ensures assigned duties and responsibilities are performed timely, meet required timeframes, and Credit Union policies/procedures and regulatory compliance are met and adhered to. Responds to member and staff inquiries, and keeps members and staff advised of research and/or adjustments in a timely and efficient manner. Internally, this position supports Mortgage Operations as it relates to post loan activity. Responsible for internal and external department communication including, but not limited to member correspondence.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes member requests, mortgage loan corrections and modifications. Responsible for processing all mortgage related payments, assist with loan transfer projects. Responsible for assisting with loan research, paid loan reports and other applicable mortgage loan reports.
  • As part of the Mortgage Operations team, has shared responsibility for reviewing and managing Mortgage Servicing fulfillment queues and shared mailbox. Reports any issues/concerns to Mortgage Servicing Supervisor.
  • Responsible for internal/external member contact and related third-party contact in relation to servicing and or problem resolution. Answers general calls, escalated phone calls and must answer line for department. Responsible for all applicable member notifications.
  • Ensures compliance with all organizational policies and procedures in addition to all regulatory requirements. Assists with reviewing and providing feedback on procedures pertaining to job responsibilities and/or functional area as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years financial service (banking/credit union) industry experience in mortgage loan servicing, processing and/or quality control in mortgage lending
  • Strong customer service experience background
  • DNA System
  • AHFC Servicing
  • 3rd Party Servicing
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, servicing, processes and requirements within a financial institution
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • General understanding of financial and accounting theory and principles
  • Good organizational, research and problem solving skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills and effectively communicates and collaborates with all levels of the organization, external vendors and members
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to generate and interpret reports

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.70 - $24.63 per hour
