This role requires direct property management and team management experience.

Role (Overview of the Position)

  • Responsible for leading the operations and leasing teams to achieve operational success. Oversee and execute, with effective resourcing, all aspects of the property operations life cycle and leasing.

Responsibilities (Tasks Associated with the Role)

  • Oversee work of operations and leasing teams
  • Ensure tasks are completed through delegation, resourcing, and independent work
  • Work with General Manager to develop processes to create greater efficiency and respond to market conditions
  • Responsible for process implementation, and execution within department and in conjunction with other departments
  • Maintain awareness of technological solutions, industry trends, and legal requirements
  • Responsible for employee training and development within the department

Results (Expected Accomplishments)

  • Ensure tenant satisfaction and remains high by ensuring team proactively communicate and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Manage leasing team to ensure speed and accuracy of marketing and leasing
  • Effective use of delegation and resourcing to ensure team is highly functional
  • Develop, refine, and implement systems to improve the efficiency of the property life cycle
  • Ensure tenants have clear expectations and transparency upon move-in
  • Ensure delinquency is handled in the best interest of the owner
  • Filter decisions through the filters of client/customer satisfaction and profitability
  • Manage, mentor and lead junior level staff
  • Meet defined portfolio KPI’s of: occupancy, retention, DOM, and others that drive NOI

Requirements (Expected Proficiencies)

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. Applicants without a degree will be considered with applicable industry experience
  • Previous property management experience
  • Experience managing client expectations, account management experience, etc.
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Existing knowledge and continued learning of property management operations and law
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation; strong problem solving skills
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and the ability to learn new software quickly
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required

This position is located at our company’s corporate office in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah at 1600 South State Street. Hours are from 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
